We're based in the South-East. We come west anyway.

Worth being straight about: we're based in Melbourne's South-East, so Tarneit is a cross-town run for us. There's no travel surcharge — it's within the metropolitan area and we're there regularly — but it does mean we plan bump-in times around the West Gate and the ring road rather than assuming a clear twenty-minute drive.

In practice that means we arrive earlier than the schedule strictly requires. A set-up that has to be finished before guests arrive doesn't leave room for a traffic incident on the freeway, so we build the buffer in rather than explaining it afterwards.

Good To Know

Newer estates, smaller yards, indoor styling

Housing through Tarneit and Truganina is mostly new, which usually means generous open-plan living and a compact yard. Styling indoors works well here — a feature wall, a dressed table, a backdrop in the living space — and avoids the wind that makes freestanding outdoor pieces awkward on the western plains.

For anything larger, community centres are the norm rather than the exception, and they come with the same constraints as halls anywhere: a fixed access window, restrictions on fixings, and often a same-night clear-out. We plan for all three.

Questions

What people ask us about tarneit

Do you charge extra to travel to Tarneit from the South-East?

No. Tarneit, Truganina, Point Cook, Werribee and Hoppers Crossing are all within metropolitan Melbourne and there's no travel surcharge. We simply plan bump-in times with the freeway traffic in mind.

Can you style at Tarneit community centres?

Yes — community centres host most of the larger functions out here and we work in them regularly. We confirm access windows, fixing restrictions and pack-down requirements with the centre directly before the day.

Do you style Navratri events?

Yes. The key difference with Navratri is floor space: garba needs the middle of the room kept clear, so the styling works around the perimeter, the stage and the entrance rather than through the centre.

Can you deliver DIY hire to the western suburbs?

Yes. Larger pieces and anything we're dressing are delivered and installed; smaller DIY hire items can be delivered too, though collection is usually cheaper if you're able to.
