Booking, payment, hire, delivery and cancellation terms for event styling and décor hire — written to be read, not skimmed past.
Last updated: 7 August 2026
These terms apply to event styling and décor hire supplied by Gather n Grace (ABN 42 931 253 013). By paying a deposit you accept them. Anything specific to your event — inclusions, timings, pricing — is set out in your written quote, which sits alongside these terms.
Quotes are itemised and valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. Prices may change after that, particularly where fresh flowers are involved.
A booking is confirmed only when the deposit is received. Until then the date remains available to other enquiries, however far discussions have progressed.
We reserve the right not to deliver where the balance is unpaid at the due date.
Tell us as early as you can. We'll accommodate changes to colours, quantities and layout where stock and time allow. Changes requested within 14 days of the event may not be possible, and any increase in scope will be quoted before we proceed.
If we are unable to deliver for reasons within our control, you receive a full refund including the deposit.
All hire items remain our property at all times.
Hire items must not be modified, repainted, or taken outdoors where they're supplied for indoor use, without our agreement.
Delivery, installation and pack-down are included in full-service bookings within the agreed window. DIY hire may be collected or delivered depending on the item.
You are responsible for ensuring we have safe, clear access at the agreed times, along with adequate power and, where relevant, permission from the venue or property owner. Where access is delayed or unavailable and we are kept waiting, additional charges may apply.
We work to your venue's bump-in and bump-out windows and comply with their supplier requirements. We hold public liability insurance and provide a certificate of currency on request.
Where a venue restricts what may be installed — open flame, rigging, fixings, floor coverings — those restrictions take precedence over the design, and we'll propose an alternative.
For outdoor set-ups we agree a wet-weather plan in advance. Some installations can be relocated at short notice; others cannot, and we'll tell you which is which when the design is confirmed.
We may decline to install, or may remove, any structure where wind, rain or heat make it unsafe. Safety decisions are ours to make, and no refund is payable where an agreed wet-weather alternative is delivered instead.
Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law, including guarantees that services are provided with due care and skill.
Beyond those rights, our liability for any claim is limited to re-supplying the service or refunding the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for circumstances outside our reasonable control including extreme weather, venue closure, road closure, illness, or supplier failure.
You are responsible for the safety of hire items while they are in your possession, and for guests' interaction with them.
We may photograph our own set-ups and use those images on our website, hire catalogue and social media. These are photographs of décor rather than of guests. Tell us before the day if you'd prefer we didn't, and we won't.
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your booking is the one published when your deposit was paid.
Ask us rather than guessing — we'd far rather explain a term before you book than argue about it afterwards. Get in touch or call 0405 986 058.
